I have gone through Pareenita’s poem RONGPURAR RAHDOI NACANI As a whole the poem is very nice with its feelings. But I feel a discontinuity in its rhythm somewhere, during recitation of the poem. More over I have some doubt on keeping “guwapan” in “khosani” of breast and waist for beloved. Because in Assamese society, two items, “Hansati” and “Pakharutang” was used for keeping “tamol”

"RONGPURAR RAHDOI NACANI" is about "Bihu " festival of Assam. The poetess Parineeta Sharma has differentiated the festival that uesd to be celebrated in ancient time with the way it is being celebrated now days. There was charm about the way this festival was used to be celebrated that time which is missing today. The poetess has beautifully explained the whole scenario with perfect words and flow. Her poems are always very immagenative but contemporary and this is also no diiference.Good luck. Partha Sharma Mumbai
